SCOM is an indigenous
interdenominational Christian organization committed to the evangelisation, discipleship
and training of students so that they would love and serve the Lord effectively in the
Church and the world.
The organization consists of groups of Christian students in secondary schools and
colleges throughout Malawi as well as ex-members and well-wishers who continue to take an
interest in the organization to the extent of supporting it morally and materially.
AIMS
The aims for Student Christian Organization Of Malawi are:
- To call all students to personal faith in god – Father,
Son and Holly spirit – according to the scriptures andto live as true disciples of
Jesus Christ.
- To deepen the spiritual life of students through prayer,
study of holly scriptures of the old and new testaments as the record of Gods revelation
of Himself to mankind, written by men inspired by the holly spirit, and the cooperate
worship of the church.
- To help all students to witness to Jesus Christ both in and
out of school or college, and by study and discussion to fulfill there vocation as student
by bringing every thought into captivity to Christ.
- To bring student into Christian fellowship with each other
into serving the needs of all students and the world.
- To call student to work for the extension of, unity and
renewal of the church throughout the world, and to bear witness as responsible members of
a particular church, in personal commitment to Jesus as savior and Lord.
